If you want culture we work with many local attractions where you can enjoy some of the history of this fascinating county. We will work closely with you to develop your trip, co-ordinate your transport, provide detail on what you need and ensure that you see, do and enjoy every minute you spend in the Lake District. |Mountain Adventure– Multi day trips walking and exploring the beautiful lakeland fells. These routes will be developed based upon your specific aspirations and abilities, but we guarantee you will really get a chance to explore these amazing landscapes and get off the beaten track as well. We can also incorporate wild-camping and other outdoor activities. The beauty of the lakeland fells has provided inspiration for countless people over the years including notably William Wordsworth and Alfred Wainwright who was so inspired by them he wrote a series of books providing information, history and beautiful hand-drawn drawings of all the main fells. Since this time all the 214 major fells in the lake district have been referred to as ‘Wainwrights’.|
|Relax, Unwind and Enjoy– Of course the Lake District is not all about high adrenaline active outdoor pursuits. The Lake District is also one of the most beautiful, tranquil and stunning landscapes you will ever see and this can be equally well appreciated from a relaxing steamer journey on Windermere, Ullswater or Coniston or from the beer garden of a fine country pub. We are Live the Lakes certainly know how to find the great spots to relax so will more than happily give you advice on where to head to get away from the stresses of life!|
|Cumbria Explore– A real opportunity to see all the areas of the Lake District (mountains, lakes, coastline, towns and villages) and further afield exploring some of the more hidden gems in Cumbria. This can involve as much or as little outdoor focussed activity as you want, we will go through with you your wants and needs and help create an itinerary that will ensure you come away fully satisfied!|
|Mountain Biking– The Lake District and Cumbria offers some of the best mountain and road biking terrain in the UK. You can have a fun day out on some of the excellent managed trail centres in Grizedale and Whinlatter, or get off the beaten track exploring some of the ancient bridleways which can be linked together to provide an exhilarating day out. We also can recommend routes in the Howgills and the neighbouring Yorkshire Dales which also offer some fantastic terrain. We can also source quality bike hire as required.|
|Road Biking– The fantastic network of glorious, quiet and expansive country and back roads in Cumbria provides an unrivalled opportunity to explore some of the fantastic countryside on your road bike. There are infamous mountain passes you can tackle, glorious coastal routes and some fantastic wide empty roads in areas of the Eden Valley and North East Cumbria which will definitely leave you wanting to come back for more!|
